Minutes of November 8, 2011 Wee-Ma-Tuk Landowners’ Association (WMTLA)
The meeting was called to order @ 7:05 p.m. by President Dave Davis. Other board members present were Vicki
Strong, Chris Strong, Bobbie Davis, and Mike Prane.
A motion to accept minutes of October 3, WMTLA board meeting was made by
by Chris Strong and second by Mike Prane. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Bill Phillips was not present, but sent the Treasurer’s report. A motion to approve was made
by Chris Strong and second by Bobbie Davis. Motion carried.
Membership Report: Vicki Strong reported no new members.
New Business:
Board will consider ‘Trivia’ games for next WMTLA Fall meeting.
Membership property ownership and address records need to be updated. After the mailing of the fall newsletter,
many of the newsletters were returned by the Post Office for wrong addresses. This is a waste of postage. Vicki
Strong and Bobbie Davis to contact Fulton County Courthouse and investigate how to get current ownership and
address records identified. Next mailing of newsletter will include ‘Or Current Resident’ on them so we will have
no returned mail.
Board to review Bi-Laws to determine WMTLA membership rules for properties which have multiple owners.
A ‘Phone A Thon’ is up for consideration as a spring fundraiser.
WMT CC Club House informed the Board that we will not be allowed to meet there during this winter. Will hold
meetings at the Davis house.
Chris Strong to upgrade WMTLA website, as the website requires more memory.
Old Business:
Board reviewed a complaint from Facebook about ‘speeders’ in WMT and the concern for the safety of children.
County Road Commissioner said there would have to be an IDOT study for a ‘Caution Children’ and/or ‘Speed
Limit’ signs. A ‘No Outlet’ or ‘Dead End’ sign needs to be put on Hiawatha, just off of Washaki.
Dave Davis to contact recycling company (Violia) to get a new quote on a possible new location to put recycling.
‘Taco’ Talk, November 15 at La Fiesta, 6:30pm.
Next WMT LOA Board meeting will be held on December 6, 2011 @ 7 p.m. at the Davis house.
