Minutes of May 6, 2008 Wee-Ma-Tuk Landowners’ Association (WMT LA) Board Meeting

The meeting was called to order @ 7:09 p.m. by President Al Coleman. Other board members present were Bobbie Davis,
Chris Strong, Gerald Girard, Bill Phillips, Mark Johann and Tony Fahrenbruch.  Guests attending were Lee Trotter-Carew
and Chris Helle.

A motion to accept minutes for the April 1, 2008 meeting of WMT LA board was made by Mark Johann with 2nd by Chris
Strong. Motion unanimously passed.

Bill Phillips made a treasurer’s report.  A motion to accept treasurer’s report for April was made by Bobbie Davis with 2nd
by Chris Strong. Motion unanimously passed.

Tony Fahrenbruch reported 65 new memberships received during April. Because of some inadvertent billing, future dues
notices need to include a statement “if you have already paid your dues for 20??, please ignore this notice.”

Bobbie Davis gave a report on welcoming new members.   No new contacts made in April.

Motion to add Lee Trotter-Carew to WMT LA board made by Bill Phillips and second by Chris Strong. Motion passed
unanimously.  Board is now at full capacity.

Old Business:
Weather siren:  The siren is installed, tested and fully functional. WMT Golf Partners will be furnished with a hand held
remote which will allow use of one tone (different from tornado warning) and intercom capability for club use.

Dam Project update: Bill P. reported closing date May 12 still firm. Chris S. researching time of travel from North side of
lake to Proshop using all routes.

Spring Fling: Plans for the May 10 spring fling were reviewed along with board member responsibilities for assignments
before and at the spring fling.   Each member is asked to procure at least one door prize.  All members will be given raffle
tickets to sell. LA board noted that the WMT LA “free web ad winner” must be present at the spring fling to win. Web ads
cost $100 per year starting June 1 of each year.  Cost prorated for part of year.  Agenda for Spring Fling was discussed.

Newsletter: Having the newsletter published printed and mailed by the Bushnell firm appears to be a success.  Chris will
inquire into cost of adding color to future newsletters.

WMT Garage Sale: Set for Saturday in June1.  To have address advertised in WMT Yard Sale newspaper advertisements,
participant must be a WMT LA member. A sign up list will be available at the Spring Fling. AC will contact last year’s
participants.  Anyone interested but not at the Spring Fling can contact Alan Coleman.

Garage inquiry:  Building a garage on a WMT property before building a home is a Fulton County Zoning issue. However,
Point 3 on each “subdivision restrictions” states “no trailer, garages, basements or structures of a temporary nature shall
be used or occupied as a residence…”  Any one wishing to build ANY structure on their property should contact Janice
Emmons, the Fulton County Zoning Director at the Fulton County Health Department, 647-1134, x 235 or zoning@fultonco.
org.

Fishing Inquiry: There is no easy answer. The board reviewed the memorandum of August 31, 2004 provided at the
request of the WMT LA board of Froehling, Weber and Evans.  The board is using the paragraph “Who has access to the
WMT lakes? What is the legal definition of subdivision?” as the beginning point for any landowner to begin to answer the
fishing rights question.

911 sign inquiry:  Two sources for 911 signs available: 1) Fulton County rescue and fire departments and 2) Red Cross.
Information on ordering from either of these sources will be available at the Spring Fling or by contacting Gerald Girard.
Realtor Letter: Board still working on having a document provided.

New Business: Fencing inquiry:  Board researching guidelines governing building fence on a WMT property.

Jug fishing inquiry: Board approached about how to handle jug fishing. It is listed in WMT fishing rules as prohibited.  Past
boards have had similar situations. Board members researching.

Debris in Lakes:  Floating debris, especially on Big Lake is a concern.  Chris S. to post boating and skiing advisory on
website.

Entrance mowing: Tony Fahrenbruch has been contracted by WMT LA board to mow entrance for summer of 2008.

Resignation : Tony Fahrenbruch submitted his resignation from WMT LA board effective June1, 2008. With deep and
sincere regrets, the board accepted the resignation.

Next meeting date is Tuesday, June 3, 2008 @ 7 p.m. @ proshop.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:22 with a motion from Mark Johann and a second from Chris Strong.

Respectfully submitted:

    Minutes of April 1, 2008

    Wee-Ma-Tuk Landowners’ Association (WMT LA)
    Board Meeting

The meeting was called to order @ 7:09 p.m. by President Al Coleman. Other board members present were Bobbie
Davis, Chris Strong, Gerald Girard, and Bill Phillips.

A motion to accept minutes for the March 11, 2008, meeting of WMTLA board was made by Bill Phillips with 2nd by
    Chris Strong. Motion unanimously passed.

Bill Phillips made a treasurer’s report.  A motion to accept treasurer’s report for March was made by Chris Strong with
2nd by Bobbie Davis. Motion unanimously passed. Again the discussion of raising dues led to defining what services
WMT LA provides members and what “new services” could be provided.  It was noted that a new state law is
requiring annual septic inspections for all residents of IL. Bill P. and Al C. are to investigate the possibility of the
“septic inspection” becoming a service provided by LA to membership and report to WMTLA board at May meeting.

    No membership report.

Bobbie Davis gave a report on welcoming new members. Board members gave her names/addresses of new
homeowners they were aware of at this time. Bobbie has updated the packets. She reviewed current welcome packet
with board and board made corrections and recommendations.  This welcoming task is of high priority.  It can lead to
a better relationship with the WM LA board and if not done promptly it leads to missed opportunity for the association.
One of the major stumbling blocks is identifying new homeowners. The board will meet on a non-board meeting night
(April 9, 2008 @ proshop 6 p.m.) to dedicate the evening to review this topic and others relating to enhancing services
    provided by the WMTLA.

    Old Business:
Weather siren:  The siren is ready to install. The location has been selected.  It will be installed as soon as weather
    permits.
Dam Project update: Bill P. had no update report.
Spring Fling: A tentative date, Saturday, May 10, has been selected. Plans for the May 10 spring fling were reviewed
along with board member responsibilities for assignments before and at the spring fling.   Each member is asked to
procure at least one door prize.  All members will be given raffle tickets to sell. LA board noted that the WMTLA free
web ad winner must be present at the Spring Fling to win. Web ads cost $100 per year starting June 1.  Cost prorated
    for part of year.
Newsletter: Chris S. reported the cost of hiring the Bushnell printing to produce the spring and fall newsletters to is
as reported in March meeting.  Deadline for all newsletter articles to Chris Strong is April 18. He will edit and meet the
    printer deadline of April 23.
WMT Garage Sale: Tentatively set for Saturday in June 1.  To have address advertised in WMT Yard Sale newspaper
advertisements, participant must be a WMTLA member. More info coming.
