WMT Annual Garage Sale: The date for this year’s WMT LA Garage Sale is June 12. Al
Coleman will place the ad in the Canton Daily Ledger and make maps.
Lake Signs: Chris Strong and Bill Phillips will determine preliminary placement of signs and
will contact the Road Commissioner for final placement.
New Business:
Guest Speakers: Jim Rickard, (Drainage District), Tony Fahrenbruch, and Lisa Fahrenbruch
approached the board with concerns about the Big Lake. Recently there have been reports of
people on the lake who are not authorized to be on the lake. This has been an ongoing
problem which seems to be escalating. Discussion ensued about how these unauthorized
boats are getting access to the lake. Bill Phillips made a motion to place an ad in the Daily
Ledger to notify the public that these lakes at Wee Ma Tuk are all Private lakes and action will
be taken against those who trespass. Second by Bobbie Davis. Motion carried. Also the
boarding will look into putting an ad/notification on the local radio station, WBYS and perhaps
the ‘Shopper’.
As part of this discussion, another motion was made by Bill Phillips to look into the board
hiring someone to patrol the lake at critical times, spending up to $500. Vicki Strong second.
The motion carried. The board to meet with the Fulton County Sherriff, Jeff Standard.
The board is contacting an attorney with questions about these concerns.
The Board also discussed possible ways to slow down some of the Jet Skis on the big lake.
A special meeting will be held to review the outcome of above meetings.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 p.m. with a motion from Vicki Strong and second by Vicki
Kuzinair. Motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Bobbie Davis, Secretary
